Ugly. The tailgate I was at had it on the TV and I’m glad I wasn’t totally invested in this one like usual. So I didn’t watch every play. Just get a win and move on. Offense figured out how to run the ball, but same old story from the defense.

So what is the problem with the defense? Is it the personnel or is it Schiano? They seem to have gotten worse every year he’s been there.

There is only one team in the country that has the personnel that Ohio State does and they make their home in Tuscaloosa. So yeah I’m going to go with Schiano. No matter how this season ends up for Ohio State there needs to be an overhaul of the defensive coaching staff. Maybe Rutgers will fire Ash and we can get him back but the biggest losses are definitely Coombs and Fickell. Either way there are great coaches out that could be doing a lot more than this staff is.

That would certainly help. I’m also a fan of playing young guys like Teradja Mitchell as well. There are dudes that are proving their worth on special teams right now that I think should get more opportunity.

Of the alternate uniforms OSU has had the black ones are probably in the middle. Definitely not the worst, definitely not the best.

As far as the poor defense goes, I am going it has to be a combo of coaching, players and scheme.

I can think of a few more teams, Ha. OSU just hasn’t panned out near their hype the past few years. Nebraska should have never been sniffing around winning that game. The lowly Huskers made bone head bungle after bungle and still hung around. I think the problems in Columbus are pretty bad. Michigan is going to embarrass them.
