Chad wasn't getting the opportunitys earlier in the year, and it was because of alot of reasons. Some was he was not playing good, some was just Carson was off on his passes to him, some was the line wasn't giving Carson enough time to let Chad do his thing down the field. But alot of you all were acting like it was all him. Chad has always been a person who says stuff and he usually backs it up. He only really talked in two games this year and one game he did back it up and the other he didn't. Then some of you all even went as far as saying that you all think Chad is only the 3rd best receiver on the team which was just rediculous to say. All I know is that when all of this is said and done with Chad is going to end his year with another great year and another pro bowl, and also possibly could end the year leading the NFL in receiving yards for the first time ever. So that is a pretty good year in my books, and Chad is still going to be Chad while doing it...

He's been very selfish the last 2 weeks. He won't let anyone else score a touchdown.

He has had two great weeks. Would have been even bigger if it wasn't for the two drops against the Saints.

 

Also, wish he would do something about his diet, nutrition or whatever to keep from getting the cramps.

 

Also, it seems to be downplayed that Carson is not calling the plays at the line of scrimmage anymore. It might have been Carson who was taken the opportunities away from the WR's. With the OC calling the plays now, a lot more long balls are being thrown.

I'd guess it has more to do with the o-line that Chad's yearnings.

I am very happy. Chad has shut his mouth for the most part and has produced in a major way. Maybe he was listening on ESPN when they talked about the greatest recievers in the history of the game. They included they all caught the ball and acted like they had done it before.... Way to begin to meet your potential as an athlete Chad. This better attutude could take your football team a long way.

It would be interesting to know how many long balls were called in the no-huddle and Carson checked off to a run to Rudi. How many times have you seen, in the past 2 games compared to earlier, Carson checking off to a running play to Rudi. It got to a point, if Carson changed the play at the line of scrimmage, you could expect a run to Rudi.

90% of the time they check to Rudi. Carson is still calling a lot of plays and changing stuff at the line. I agree that the offensive play calling has been much better lately. I like the 2-headed Johnson offense. A Johnson should touch the ball 8 out of 10 plays for the Bengals!!!!

:thumb: Thank you this article really helps support what I have been arguing with you and other for weeks now. You posted thinking it helped support what you were saying, but I think it helps support what I was saying even more. The main part in this article and from what Willie Anderson said is that "he really cares about winning." So that goes against all the things that you all were saying, that he puts himself ahead of the team, and only does things for him, because as we just saw that is not true, because he would rather win. In the past he was able to do all these stunts and they were able to win games and he was still getting his numbers. Now this year with him doing some of these stunts and not producing the number early in the year, you all wanted to make it seem like he only cared about himself like a T.O. and Moss and not care about the team, when that is not true at all. I think just some of you all still like it when nobody said or did anything, and now at the beginning of the year when his numbers wasn't normal at the time, you all jumped on the opportunity to really put him down about it, even though every other year with him doing stuff he has produced.

 

One of the main reasons why I think he has cut down some of his stunts now is because the team is losing, and as he said 2 weeks ago it just dont make sense to celebrate and do all those things when the team is not doing well. Alot of you all just need to realize that Chad is not a T.O. and Moss, but he does like to have fun, but when it all comes down to it he cares more about the team and winning than anything else, and that is what we are seeing...

I think he is maturing into it, but at times his craving for attention has driven him to make bad decisions. He is maturing as most young men in their 20's do. I hope that I am a much different person than the young man I was in my 20's.

As I posted many pages ago in this thread,Chad can't throw it to himself.He wasn't even getting looked at by Carson back earlier in the year.Now it is Henry being the forgotten man.
