Team sources told FOX NFL Sunday and FOXSports.com that after last week's game head coach Marvin Lewis, for the first time after a game all season, completely ripped into his team.

According to the sources, Lewis implored his team to "stop worrying about 'me' and stop being so selfish."

Lewis has kept his patience with his team despite having to deal with several interpersonal and off-field problems plaguing his locker room....that is, until last Sunday afternoon.

Lewis also implored his team to control their emotions when they get frustrated and things go bad. Basically, if they are to head to the postseason they can't get unraveled when bad stuff happens.

 

Apparently Dexter Jackson didn't get the memo...All the people that have said stuff this year have been veterans though. Willie Anderson, Rudi, Chad, Palmer, Simmons, and now Jackson... So it hasn't just been Chad that has let his emotions out to the media...

I will admit that he gave me a view of Chad Johnson I had not seen and stands in contrast to Moss and TO. I hope that it continues. My fear and I mentioned this at the beginning of the season is that if the struggles of the team continues, his frustration will build and we will see more outbursts of last week than the selfishness of this week.

I hope I am proven wrong.

Look, last season was last season, don't you think that teams are a bit more prepared for the "go deep" mentality? You don't beat folks the same old way long in this league. With the OL issues Cincy has had, how can you expect to make those type of plays every week? To win consistently in this league, you must be balanced. You may get some W's on big plays every so often, but over the long haul, you must be balanced. IMO, as a non-Bengirl fan, I'd be more concerned with Henry or Housh beating me than Chad, as evidenced in the first meeting this season with the Steelers. He may be the 3rd best receiver on his team.

That is unbelievable. Is Chad Johnson leading the AFC in receiving yards now?

This post is sad. Johnson needs the ball thrown to him more. When he does have a breakout game, everyone will be posting how great he is.
