6A #2 St. Xavier (7-3) hosts 6A Ohio County (1-10). Who wins this 6A Region Two game?

Is this game really necessary? I'm serious.

True, but not to this degree. Ohio County's only win was last week against a winless 2A Butler County team. So someone HAD to win. This is bad. X Frosh would put a running clock on this team early.

Only benefit is that St.X reserves that normally wouldn’t play will get significant minutes.

I know they have last few years. They are moving to 5A next year.

I know they have to, but this game shouldn't even be played. With the non-district schedule Ohio County plays, this isn't fair to the kids on that team. The AD is doing them no favors at all with their scheduling.:(

Cal Preps projects the score as 62-0. Probably right due to running clock and reserves playing.

Probably will happen. The starters will probably play the first quarter then backups will take care of the rest.

Same thing happened a year or so ago. OC had to travel to Trinity in rd. 1 Ended 63-0 or something ridiculous like that.

Ohio County finished 5th in their district so has to come be the 4th place team in another district that only has 3 teams. Hoping for safe travels for Ohio County kids because the actual game will not be fun.

Just doesnt make sense to me to force a 5th place team to play a powerhouse year in and year out. I assume this will change next season with the re districting but this game is completely unnecessary and useless.
