Henry Clay's starting QB, DJ Van Horn, was out with an injury with a broken leg suffered in the Bryan Station game. Van Horn has also been the #2 rusher for the Blue Devils and was the key to their win over Scott County back on September 28th. There haven't been any stats posted for the game yet. Was anyone at the game to report on how that impacted the game last night? @UNCLOVER @strongopenyon

 

Henry Clay/Cooper Updates

Henry Clay has packed it in with the loss of their qb.

Yes Henry Clay having there back up QB in I’m sure affected Henry Clay’s offense but they still have Langston Jackson running the ball (who by the way is the fastest kid in the state). Jackson only had one long run on there first drive for a touchdown. Coopers defense contained him for the rest of the game. Cooper’s offensive and defensive line controlled the line of scrimmage. Lee and Whitchy ran hard. Don’t be surprised if Cooper wins a couple games in the playoffs. Cooper is finally healthy and at full strength.
