Buccaneers 26 Browns 23 (OT)

Featured Replies

The Browns have suffered through 4 OT games out of their first 7. I’m thinking it’s time to pull the plug on Hue.

They’re good enough to get to OT, not good enough to close the deal.

Is that progress? Lol

How can someone from Newark root against a Brown's player? I am an Ohio State fan and thought he was a punk for the flag bit. But now he is the QB of my favorite team.

Yeah, what @oldgrappler said

Love seeing Mayfield come up short again.

Long time very few first time. I’ve always respected your takes. How can you not like Mayfields swagger/confidence? I could be wrong but I thought you were a Browns guy. If not I can understand

That fourth down play where where Mayfield had made the line to gain and then fumbled the ball backward and out of bounds was among the most Browns things of all the Browns things I’ve ever seen.

I do not dislike the Browns, I just do not like Mayfield.

Unfortunately, not even close. I got a bunch of them in my memory.

And we get another apology from the NFL that a penalty should've been called on the helmet to helmet hit on Mayfield. When are the refs going to be held accountable?

Do you not like him because of the Ohio State game last year? I know we’re both Ohio State fans, but what Baker did during that game and after actually made me like Baker not dislike him.

"And we get another apology from the NFL that a penalty should've been called on the helmet to helmet hit on Mayfield. When are the refs going to be held accountable?"

That was pretty egregious. I understand he is a runner at that point, but that is an ejection worthy. Burfict wouldn't have played for a month if he pulls off that move. It was about as "leading with the crown of the helmet" as I have seen all year.

I have never been a fan. The OSU thing did not play into it.

At the end of the day there are hundreds of plays in a football game. For the most part, refs get the majority of the calls right. Even most of the roughing the passer calls have been correct based on the emphasis they put on that rule this year. So I am not exactly sure what you would want the NFL to do to the refs to hold them accountable as you say? Don't forget the Refs have their own union, if the NFL does something to them. The Refs can just go on strike, and leave us with back up refs again. Which as frustrated as we get with these refs, they are still ten times better those replacement refs.
