Pura Vida Posted October 18, 2018 Posted October 18, 2018 Friday’s drawing is projected to be a record $970 million. I (along with many others) always jump on the lottery train when it gets big and in the news. I remember the billion dollar power ball from 2016 – that’s probably the last time I bought a ticket. I have to remember to buy a ticket today or tomorrow. Woo hoo!
MJAlltheWay24 Posted October 18, 2018 Posted October 18, 2018 Threw in $2 into the office pot. Women is going to buy a bunch of tickets for us.
GrantNKY Posted October 18, 2018 Posted October 18, 2018 Didn’t realize it was getting up that high again. Going to get a couple this afternoon.
Jumper_Dad Posted October 18, 2018 Posted October 18, 2018 As great as it would be to win, there would be a lot of headaches with it. Wife and I were talking last night about how we'd like to help out family and some friends, but you'd be in a no win situation with some. If you helped financially, why can't you give more? If you didn't help some people, why not? Charities would drive you nuts, we'd pick some local charities that we support and really hook them up. I'd give marching band and football enough that they'd be set, one condition: no student fund raisers for at least 10 years! One BGP member would love me, as he gets paid on commission, I'd be handing out F-150's like Elvis passing our Cadillacs. :lol2: There are about 10 people that have impacted my family's life that would get one.
Bengal Maniac Posted October 18, 2018 Posted October 18, 2018 I have my ticket. Call 3 lawyers and 3 financial advisors. Interview them to determine their advice, then choose one of each and go for it. Not sure what I'd do until I heard the advice.

That's nice and commendable of you if you want to do that. Me, I don't owe anybody anything. My immediate family might benefit. I'd show up incognito to claim, hire a trustworthy financial adviser/lawyer and move to an undisclosed location as soon as I was able. Then purchase or build another abode where I've always wanted to go and live happily ever after.

Tell ya what. If I win, I’ll buy you any F150 you and you do the same for me . I’ll take a black Platinum Edition, with black leather and every available option, crew cab, short bed :lol2:
00Rocket28 Posted October 18, 2018 Posted October 18, 2018 I’d like end up donating most of it. Keep about $100 million. Every department in my area would have a new fleet. Some local high schools that needed it would get major upgrades, lots to St. Jude, and some animal rescues.

00Rocket28 Posted October 19, 2018 Posted October 19, 2018 Tonight when I went in to get my mega millions, I saw the poor ole power ball was at a measly $430 million. I got $10 of each
00Rocket28 Posted October 19, 2018 Posted October 19, 2018 I have a buddy from college who jokingly made a post about everyone in the small town he lives buying a $2 ticket..well it’s taken off. Its up to a few hundred people :lol2:

Not sure what I'd do until I heard the advice. I’ve got the lawyer and financial advisor already set with long time friends I’ve known since childhood and trust with my life. Id certainly take care of some family, and make sure my kids and future grandchildren are set. I’d absolutely move, but I wouldn’t go crazy upgrading my house or vehicles. I’d also probably pick up a second home on a beach somewhere, probably back home on one of the Delaware beaches. Otherwise, I’m laying pretty low, and trying to live my life much like I am right now....not much more extravagantly, but certainly more comfortably.
