I rarely play...maybe a couple times a year at the most, and have only cashed in for $10 maybe one time, and gotten the power ball once or twice. It's really a horrible investment, but that fear of missing out continues to drive myself and millions of others to continue to "throw a couple bucks at it, just in case". Way back in the late 80's, before the super big games like Mega Millions, and Powerball, my dad got 5 out of 6 numbers in the Maryland Lotto and won $15 or $20k (can't remember how much exactly).
