Which Kentucky teams have the players names on the back of the jersey?

 

Seems like most of the teams on the made for TV ESPN games have them, so I was curious if any Kentucky schools did it.

We do not. We stopped toward the end because the jerseys didn’t have a good way to attach the name. When we did do it, was a big hassle. We did it to help us get kids.

Does the school or boosters buy all new unis every year? Seems like a lot of money to me.

It’s a shared cost between school/team and the player. Player portion is minimal but they ask for a little bit.

The players buy their own jerseys, and they do not have to get a new one every year if they don't want to change numbers.

Beechwood changed uniform designs two years ago, so the players had to get new ones, but other than that, they could wear the same jersey all 3 seasons if they choose to.

Covington Holy Cross has names on their dark home jerseys, but not their white visitor jerseys.

We had the our names on the back of one of the youth league All-Star teams I played on back in the day. We swore we were in the NFL. :lol2: I still have that jersey somewhere.
