I haven’t seen him play this year. There’s a bunch of Drew Brees comparisons online but that seems like a bit much. Guess we’ll see Saturday.

Yeah he’s not Brees. But he’s a fantastic player.

Is there a team on OSU’s remaining schedule you will give them credit for a W?

Let’s go ahead and put it out there publicly in September.

@Deuce @Run To State

Why would I not give them credit for any and all of their wins?

Does that mean at this point they should be ranked 4? No, not IMO. But that's all it is, my opinion. I had no idea my opinion meant so much to you guys. :lol2:

I'm rooting for Ohio State. However, I think it will be a nail-biter and a late key turnover could give the game to Penn State.

If you don't slobber all over them, it's a personal attack against Ohio State fans apparently. :lol2:

Heck, even if you think they're an elite team that should curb-stomp all the teams on their schedule, you get accused of putting down their opponents, so I honestly don't think there's any pleasing them.

It's tough rooting for the most hated team on BGP. :lol2:

I’m just glad we have you all staying up till midnight conversing with us. Makes slow Sundays, a little more interesting. What other fan base outside of UK gets that kinda draw?

Because they’ve been recruiting at a high level and James Franklin is a hell of a coach. You can go back and check but I’ve been saying Penn State is a top 5 team since the pre season. Trace McSorley is still the most underrated player in the sport. They looked bad against App State, but they’ve looked like the team I expected them to be ever since. They have talent, they have a QB, and they have a coach. I don’t see why everyone is so down on Penn State. So many people try to use 1 game to define a season. I choose to look at the whole puzzle. It doesn’t matter to me if Penn State is good or not. “Not our rival” has become one hell of a rivalry as far as I’m concerned. I hate Penn State, but it would be foolish for me to disrespect them and think they aren’t capable of beating Ohio State. I’ve seen less talented Penn State teams do some damage against extremely talented Ohio State teams. Hell, OSU went to overtime with PSU the year they won the National Championship. White Out conditions is the toughest environment to play in, in college football. If Ohio State wins this game by double digits I will be truly shocked.

Recruiting is one part of the equation. What I've seen on the field is a team that struggled mightily against App State. Struggled for a half against Pitt. And struggled for 3 quarters against that powerhouse Illinois. You want to write off the App State game like it never happened; it was the first game of the season and they weren't ready to play? I'm not suggesting Penn State is trash, I'm suggesting that they are a 12-25 type team like A&M should be. The problem with Texas A&M is that they have played two of the top 5 teams in the country. If you put A&M and Penn State on a neutral field it's a toss up game. I personally think A&M is better not because they are in the SEC but because their performance against Clemson and even in spurts against Bama gives me enough of a sample to suggest that. Penn State has played absolutely no one and has looked mediocre at times against no one. Ohio State is a top 5 team and has shown us why, they should go into that stadium and win by double digits; I may have been a little sarcastic with the 3 td quote but double digits they should pull off. Otherwise considering what Texas did to TCU and if you guys struggle with Penn State; maybe Ohio State isn't who we thought they were.

Well you’ve already wrote off the TCU win and will be writing off a potential PSU win, since they barely beat Appy State. You give OSU no chance to gain credit, don’t pretend otherwise.

You’re allowed to hate OSU, I mean you are a Michigan fan right...

I just don’t think A&M and Penn State are equals. A&M may get the win at Kyle Field but in Happy Valley or neutral field Penn State is easily a TD better than A&M IMO. I do think A&M is one of the 25 best teams in the country, I just think Penn State is a top 10 team in the country. But even if they are equals, why would you say OSU may not be that great if they struggle against Penn State but still believe in Clemson when they struggled against A&M?

I'm way more in love with Ohio State than Clemson. I just don't like their offense a lot. They're legit but they're not on Ohio States level in my opinion. They just named Lawrence the starter so that might change

Hate is great for college football.

They should have named Lawrence the starter the first game. I saw enough of Kelly Bryant in the Sugar Bowl last year to know Clemson can’t win a title with him leading the way.

Hate is great for college football.

I don’t get why they can’t own it lol... everybody on this site knows it. Does anyone think I like UL or Michigan?

Let's stay on talk of this game.

If you want to start another thread on some of these sub topics, go right ahead.

I don't see PSU slowing OSU down very much. If PSU can force 2 or 3 punts per half they'll have a chance.

OSU defense is sound so far this season and except for a couple of big plays, have been hard to maintain drives against...that continues this weekend.

OSU 38

PSU 24
