Has Duffy ever been anywhere where controversy didn't sgortly follow?

Since this is Duffer's first Head Coach job then I guess the answer to your question would be no.

BTW, this is very comical coming from a Highlands fan.

I like watching his football teams, but the way he and his dad handle some one on one situations has rubbed people the wrong way especially Tom Duffy. Duffer did look to be getting more players out and we broke the 40 player mark this year. I think Duffer will be a great coach somewhere, and there are a few areas where he would be a little better than his dad on dealing with people.

The framework of the past twelve years has made it difficult for him to handle this season's troubles and maybe has caused more bad things to happen than would have if another coach was here. When or if he understands this, he will be miles ahead of his dad. If he chooses to keep his head down, not understand the steps leading up to this, and keep doing what he has done then he will always be coaching on TNT. I tend to think he will do much better on his own the next time around.

Travis Atwell (Mr. Football approx. 1999) was mentioned as a possible replacement.
Where has he been coaching?
I heard something yesterday about a former Wahington Co. coach, who also happens to be a former Eagle(St. Joe Prep),oh yea, and a former Wildcat too! His name was mentioned for the Bethlehem job.

That would be Jimmy Reed. Wow, that would be a little surprising! Jimmy had some good years at Washington County. I could see him doing it. He knows the game and would be worthy of consideration. He was pretty quick in his day and started for the Wildcats back in the late sixties or very early seventies.

Where has he been coaching?

Travis has been doing some assistant coaching at Hancock

Hancock County is open, Coach Shoulders resigned yesterday or day before

It is "official". KHSAA website has this position advertised.

If he coaches like he plays, then he will be an excellent choice. I would think that he has an edge, because the name Atwell is synonymous with Hancock County.

There is a little rumor down here in southest Ky. that the Middlesboro High School football coaching job might come open if Roark does make it to at least the 3rd round. Top options are Brian Crawford as the O coordinator, Jessie Allen as the D coordinator and a young man that used to play at Middlesboro and went to Cumberland College where he played as well and they might be sticken with the option but i heard maybe a 4-3 D!

Anyone else heard any news?

Has to be a RUMOR...only way Coach Roark leaves is if he wants to. Thought we were not suppose to post rumors.

News? This sounds like fiction. No offense to the men mentioned here, but this post is a joke. And I don't mean this personal to the person who wrote this...I'm sure negativity exists around all programs, someone's not happy about something...but Kenny being fired from Middlesboro is not even in "the book" for SE Kentucky football...Kenny Roark IS Middlesboro Football. His success is his own curse at most...his teams are competitive year after year. If we mention every job that people are being negative, we might as well mention every job.

Bullitt Central is open. Their coach resigned yesterday.

Why did Abnee resign?

wasn't he just hired not too long ago??? Has Central become the Atherton/Shawnee of Bullitt Co? Seems to me that they dont keep coaches around very long dont compete all that well. Or am I mistaken on all these points?

Come on who do you think calls the shots- there Duffer? Ha
