There have been exceptions, but as a general rule, Belfry shouldn't be ranked very high early in the season. They start slow, and are a work in progress. Coach will focus on doing the little things right and build on it, and hopefully have them peak in November. It is by design. Throw in a bunch of inexperience at key positions, and sometimes they will look awful early on, but will be a lot of fun to watch them develop during the year. It is among the best things about being a Pirate fan.

If there is one thing I have learned is to judge Belfry in October/November and not September. Just when you think you got them figured out they’ve stepped up to another level. If Boyle County makes it to Belfry in the playoffs....yeesh.....glad I am just a spectator.

LexCath hasn't played anyone worthy. Lafayette is arguaby the best team they have played so far and that isn't saying a lot.

I want to see what happens with Lexington Catholic first.

 

The Knights look vastly improved on paper although their SOS is a mystery right now. If they finish 2nd Belfry will have to clear them first to get to Boyle.
