Boyle County (3-0) travels to Monticello to take on Wayne County (2-1).

 

The Rebels is coming off a hard fought win against their crosstown rival Danville. Meanwhile, after losing their season opener against a top notch Frederick Douglass team, Wayne County has won back to back games against Pulaski County and Warren East.

 

Does Wayne County have an answer for the Rebels? Who wins? Why?

I think Boyle's passing game will be to much for the Cardinal defense to keep up with. If the Rebels can make there half time adjustments on the bus ride to Monticello they might win big, but if they struggle to stop the run in the first half Wayne Co. could make it interesting.

Boyle County is really missing Crawford. I know this same question is asked every week but is there any chance of him coming back this week? Anyone with legit sources? I think once he comes back the Boyle County offense will really take off.

I was told that he started practice last week but Chuck had told him that he would have to earn his position back the source is always reliable but I’m Not a 100% sure because if he started practice last week why didn’t he dress Friday night.

Me too, the offense is really sputtering without him.

Wayne had a nice win over Warren East, so we have to come out aggressive early in this game. I thought we let Danville be the aggressor early in that game. The good part was that we were able to come back for a nice win. We have a lot to work on. The nice part is that we have five weeks before our first tough district game at Lex Cath. We have all the pieces for another great run. We found two more receivers that can catch the ball in tough situations. I thought Cameron Yates and Luke Sheperson both made huge catches in the game at critical times with 3 catches each. Hopefully Crawford will be back to 100% soon. I know Chuck will make the right decision on when he can return. I hope Hatter will be back to normal this week. He is so important to our defense being dominant.

The Wayne County offense can put up some points as it's been obvious the last few games. However, the defense has been suspect at times. So far Wayne County is giving up 37 points a game. I think Boyle County is too much and wins this one 45-13.

Boyle pretty much buzzsawed Wayne last year at Boyle. I would suspect traveling to Wayne County, the Cards are looking for some payback. Boyle had best come off the bus ready to play and anticipate a 4 quarter game in a rather hostile environment.

Doesn't Boyle have a player with high D-1 offers at running back that has been playing the whole season? I know Crawford is a great player and put up really good numbers throughout his career. Why has the running game struggled so much as other posters have stated when you still have a RB with high D1 offers back there?
