He hunts from a stand. Took a friend with him to video the hunt like on tv but it happened so fast they didn't get any video.

Probably going to shoot my first bow this afternoon. Not hunting, just shooting on a friends property.

 

So I spent yesterday afternoon/evening shooting a bow for the first time and I’m hooked. It was awesome. I did pretty good too! If I can get the pic to upload I’ll show y’all my first round.

Awesome!!!! It doesn’t take long to get hooked Deuce ... whether you are a hunter or not ... and with today’s equipment it makes it even better ...

I came within 5 feet of a deer's rear on Saturday. I think I may need a new set of brakes on my car.

Zero.

 

In five sits this season, I’ve seen one deer.

Still haven’t even attempted. Probably will in 2 weeks.

Went out to Taylorsville lake this morning.

 

I had 3 does come in to about 25 yards. I didn’t see them until they were super close and got busted lifting my bow up.

 

Another doe came in super close, I even drew back. I waited for her to step out, But she literally turned on a dime. She was inches away from getting an arrow.

 

It’s a bummer that it didn’t work out, but I left feeling super encouraged about that spot.
