^ Fields Davis only about 5'6'' and Cordle about 5'8'' there not the tallest linebackers in the state either.

You are correct, and they are both very good linebackers. It just seems strange to see linebackers that small.

It's not the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of fight in the dog.;)

No rain today or tomorrow, no postponement tomorrow. :D

As of Thursday night, the field is still very wet in parts and there are large areas void of any grass. With lots of sunshine in the forecast today, it should improve greatly by kickoff but dont expect a dry and fast playing surface.

Hopefully last night won't be the last time Putnam's field is painted this year. This Ashland team has so much potential and very little time to realize it. Tonight is the beginning of the end as we enter the playoffs for 24 of these Ashland players and if they don't show their emotions and come ready to play tonight, it could be the last time they run onto the field at Putnam Stadium.

These guys will look back 20 years from now and realize this is the best time of their lives and now's the time for them to leave their heart and soul on the field. If they do that they will have no regrets.

As my Dad would always yell for the last 25years at the beginning of every game:

GO GET'M TOMCATS !!

My only wish would be he could still come and watch his grandson as he finishes his career as an Ashland Tomcat, because he sure was proud of him.

Nice post. We're not singing the blues just yet - there is still time to make some noise in the playoffs. :thumb:

And as a result, it is possibly one of your best ...

Why thank you, my dear. As my age advances, I find that I’m less inclined to share my thoughts.

Very well stated, BB:thumb:

Personally, I hope we get to paint Putnam at least one more time after tonight!

LOL - I find that as I age, I'm less able to remember them...

I just noticed that the vote/poll on this game is 50% to 50%, Umm, I predicted an O.T.. There may be something to this poll vs. point spread idea afterall. ..............probably not.:D

After nearly 120 votes, this poll is dead even. Hopefully this is an indication of how the game will play out tonight. It's a good night for football in Atown! Good luck to both teams and hopefully this will be an injury free game. Also to the Maysville people, have a safe trip to and from Ashland, and don't forget to come a little early and spend your dollars at our local restaurants and businesses!
