It’s been reported that QB Zach Recktenwald is out for the season and they will rotate two freshman QBs.

 

Also they have cancelled their JV game with St.X on 10/1. I’m assuming they have Sophmores playing on Varsity and very few Juniors are the reason.

Hey Manual, exactly why are you canceling JV games in October already?

 

I stick by this, anyone that cancels a JV or Frosh game on you should NEVER be scheduled again in JV or Frosh.

I understand that a QB gets hurt. I hate to hear it, but I understand it.

 

I don't know how a 6A school has to rotate two freshmen when the starting QB gets hurt.

 

And, I am dumbfounded at why a 6A school would cancel their JV games. Even if they have to use their freshman QB in varsity. Why are they not playing their JV games and gaining valuable experience for the rest of the underclassmen. I don't care if you have to start as square one with a new QB.

That’s crazy about the cancellation of JV games. Not that it would be for any school but a 6A program....just doesn’t make any sense.

The cancellation of the JV games for a 6A school cannot be justified no matter how you draw it up.

And I feel sorry for the JV coaches and players who were looking forward to playing this season. Geez.

Manual should have hired Mike Glazer when they had the chance. Coach Mike would have them on the rise and ready to play. You can bet they would be playing a full Freshmen schedule, as well as a full JV schedule. Looks like you may have made the wrong hire Manual.

Alex Conlin took plenty of snaps last season. Hopefully as a senior he gets his shot to run the offense instead of a freshmen.

Maybe the cancellation isn’t related to the QB situation. As was mentioned, cancelling a JV game isn’t in itself unusual.
