Manual should have hired Mike Glazer when they had the chance. Coach Mike would have them on the rise and ready to play. You can bet they would be playing a full Freshmen schedule, as well as a full JV schedule. Looks like you may have made the wrong hire Manual.

Maybe the cancellation isn’t related to the QB situation. As was mentioned, cancelling a JV game isn’t in itself unusual.

The kid has to be able to get into Manual first.

Thats not true at all, the top 5 kids from Newburg's state championship team ended up at Trinity and Central.

Perhaps St. X called and said hey we can play someone else this day if you want to cancel and Manual said yes. Maybe its because its the start of JCPS middle school playoffs and they needed to use the field. Maybe its because the sky is yellow when the sun is out. Who knows, its one JV game canceled, big woo.

 

If your so amped about it why dont you sign up Raceland to play them in a JV game, their players are certainly old enough.

Changes to field availability, other school events happening that may not have been scheduled when the JV schedule was done, are a couple quick reasons that come to mind. I agree it isn’t ideal, but again, it’s not terribly unusual. It doesn’t happen every day, but it does happen. And I’m not saying it’s ok. Better to cancel now, than to wait until game week.

They cancelled a JV game? Oh my Lord!!! That's it, shut down the school. They clearly have no purpose to exist. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD THEY CANCELLED A JV FOOTBALL GAME!! The apocalypse cometh. Why even have a school IF they're going to cancel JV FOOTBALL games?

 

Seriously? Could they maybe, just maybe, have a legitimate and rational reason? Just a thought.

That's kind of what I was thinking . It's a natural progression if a freshman season was cancelled that a JV season the following year would be iffy.

The Saint Xavier freshmen and JV team, along with Trinity,and Male should play each other twice per year. It would benefit all three schools.

On KHSAA website I counted 67 Frosh through Senior players.
