 Is that Bardwoodlehemvue?

No one is overlooking anyone. Class A is down this yr compared to yrs past, IMO. Beechwood(that is for afan) did not go to Lex overlooking LCA, they were real good and BHS was not that good.

Overlooking Danville, Hearsay? We are talking about dist 5/6 playing each other. Of course, Danville is in the hunt. That side of the brackets is by far, the toughest to win to get to the finals. Danville, Bardstown and Mayfield are top programs in the state every yr. I will throw Frankfort in just to not cause an uproar since they did beat Danville already. Bethlehem, great yr but you are just out numbered against these big dogs.

BHS(Beechwood) will not overlook anyone. We have been there before and know what it is all about as do many other teams. As for replacing our TB, can't be done w/anyone on our team. We will borrow someone if you want to lend us your TB for a few weeks. We have 4 other TB's that will get their shot but they are not #4. Two Jr's, a soph and possibly a freshman but he is not ready for that kind of pressure but he will be another good one coming up in a few yrs.

What exactly is wrong with Beechwood's HB? I heard ankle but is it serious or will he return in the playoffs? I hate to see a good player miss out on the playoffs due to injuries.

Last year Beechwood rolled into Lexington with just such an attitude.

They had a LONG ride back home, as I recall.

Last year LCA rolled into NKY against NCC with just such an attitude.

They also had a LONG ride back home, as I recall...:sssh: :D

Glad you said that.

BHS's TB will miss the remainder of the season w/a FX.

False, and True.

False. We did NOT have the attitude of "ANYBODY in OUR district can beat anybody in YOUR district" (as was expressed in post # 8 by 3ptshooter).

BHS/NCC/HC all can beat LCA or Raceland.

THAT was the attitude that my post was addressing. We knew and respected the teams of your district.

True. It was a LOOOONG ride home that night! :irked:

No disrespect intended, I just say how I see it. You have to be a little cocky, it is playoff time.

Pikeville is a team with enough talent in the back field and strength up front to go a long way in the playoffs (maybe even all the way).

Imo the title always runs through NKY as Beechwood and NCC have proved they are above the state the past few years.

THIS YEAR, however I think Bardstown, Danville, LCA, and Mayfield all have legitimate shots at taking the title home along w/ Beechwood.

One thing's for sure, there is much more parity this year than in years past.

Not the Pikeville teams I saw against Phelps and Jenkins.

That is true, and I just think that is because some of these top teams are not as good as usual. There are really no dominating teams in class A this year, and that has led to more parity....

I dont know if that is true, I seem to remember last year you were saying that those teams will compete against them. I believe didn't you think Fairview and raceland would do good against them, and they ended up losing as well. I may be wrong, but I thought I remember that from last year. I just know LCA was the only one that really was able to go out and do something.

This year I really think the top 3 teams in the district would beat the top ones in that district...That is one reason why I dont like this new playoff format, because it made it interesting having two different districts playing against each other. Now with this new format, we wont be able to have all these discussions because we both have to play inside our districts first...

I can understand the Phelps game - week after Belfry, homecoming parade and festivities, refs show up real late while everyone waits, etc...and Phelps did play with fire...

The Jenkins game was one of the most bizarre Pikeville games I have ever seen...Hopefully Friday's game will answer a few questions about that one. :creepy:

yeah Beechwood really looked above everybody else when they took that 42-7 shallacking against the Ads in 2003.
