While the football gods haven't been too kind to the Bluebirds the last few seasons, Highlands is looking to regroup and settle into what could be a big turn around season in 2018. Last season Highlands started the season off right with a 42-22 win over Cooper, will they replicate that season?

All Highlands needs to do is contain the Jags QB and it will be an easy win.

Cooper had 222 yards rushing when lee was not in the backfield . Now with 2 great runners and Armour at wr, I think highlands has its hands full. 44-22 Highlands (2017). 28-17 Cooper (2018)

Cooper definitely has some talent, I'm looking for the Birds to run it up and make a statement.

I think that Highlands will win.

Both programs are on the upswing. I am hoping that the Birds fixed up their coverage mishaps and can contain the Jags. The defense should be better from last year and some of the talent is being used on both sides of the field. The Birds offense should be much more dynamic and experienced as well. I am really excited to see C Schwalbach as the lead back with Huddy coming in here and there.

What does Cooper's defense return? What are their defensive strengths?

It's going to be a long night for Cooper High School and a big night for Cooper Schwalbach. 35-14 Birds. Too much Schwalbach and Huddy. Look for a TD on special teams from Ahfeld or Huddy.

Cooper plays a 4-3 defense, but Dixie actually ran the ball fairly well against them. Their QB is quick footed and throws well on the run. If Birds contain the QB, they should come out with a W. Birds by 2 scores..
