I am shocked the Purples picked up Warren Central (IN).

 

Obviously with a new head coach there is a new philosophy for the Purples. I just hope it doesn't come back to bite them.

There is an old saying “his eyes are bigger than his stomach” I think we might have a case of that here.

Kudos to BG. I'd like to see them schedule one of the Nashville schools as well. But what a great start.

It's a high caliber opponent who will prepare them well so long as they don't get any injuries. I would hazard a guess they would have much more loved this if it came the week before, giving them an open week before South Warren.

I believe this is correct. Reason being with realignment in the 2019 season will see Christian County move into 5A District 1 replacing Barren County, so BG would not need a game in that slot. Whether they choose to keep Bullitt Central (I believe this season is the end of a home and home contract with them) the last game of the regular season remains to be seen.

One thing is for sure, we will certainly know how Bowling Green stacks up this year!

Surprised BG decided to travel to WC, but BG has some talented players that will get a big time game to showcase their skills.
