I didn't hear anyone from Russell questioning Ashland's INTEGRITY, when they loaned their old dump of a stadium to Russell so they could have a drier field to play Mason Co. on in the playoffs. Was that done so the Devils would have an edge? Of course not. To imply that this decision is about anything but finances is a joke.

 

 

The game was played as scheduled. Russell did not have the advantage of being home. Russell appreciated the hospitality of Ashland loaning there field. I'm sure Ashland wanted a cut from the gate. i don't know that for sure just rumor. I'm sure Russell would have shown the Tomcats the same hospitality had they asked to use Ivan McGloan field.

 

Get real thats not the real reason and you know it. Ashland is the only Administration that pulls these stunts time after time. Lets just see how many other games are cancelled tonight.

There is no reason we should have cancelled this game. Football is to be played in all weather conditions. You can't blame it on the senior nite activities as last years senior night was held in a monsoon. The only reasons I can think of is the gate money and the parking. All the parking lots are dirt and full of ruts. They are now mud. This is my main gripe about games. It looks bad on us when we can't provide ample parking for the fans attending the games.

Is there not an AD in this area that will "Just Say No" to Mark Swift? Obviously, Russell and Boyd Co. won't.

With the game getting moved to tomorrow night, the coaches from Johnson Central and Mason County will be able to come get another scouting report on their competiton.

Sounds like you understand why people get upset with the Ashland administration. Its this type of stuff.

 

People understand real reasons for doing something. I know for a fact that the excuss used for the Russell cancellation was "the safety of the players". Please give me a break. INTEGRITY We teach our kids to be up front. What kind of message is the administration at Ashland sending. INTEGRITY

Have you heard anything "official" from BC about this? I still have not heard anything on the radio or anything.

 

Word from the BC locker room is that the game will be played tomorrow.

They say Swift called them at about 1:30pm

Good question. I would quess the BC holds the big edge in Baseball, with Football and Basketball big for Ashland. But I am talking about Football on this thread. What is it 8-2?

But, as far back as I could go was 8 yrs and Boyd won 3 of the 8, while Ashland won 5 of the 8. I would not call that extremely dominating...
