April 17, 20188 yr Didn't they come out and say they were looking for a starting gig last year? But regardless, that brings it back to my original post. Does a team really want a backup QB, who in most cases is not ever used, who garners a lot of negative attention from fans and media? I'm not saying the attention should be there, or that it should be negative, but that's the reality of what's happened with the kneeling. From a business standpoint, I understand why owners aren't interested in him. Haven't we seen people at Johnny Manziel workouts lately, and discussing a return to the NFL?
April 17, 20188 yr Seems like he is being pigeonholed and set up to be hated on. The media is in on it now too. Media is probably hating on him because of Pardon My Take's success lol jk
April 17, 20188 yr Im not arguing that he's bad. Im saying he's not worth the negative attention. Gotcha.
April 17, 20188 yr I understand and know why they aren’t interested. I just don’t buy that his talent level would have saved him. If Tom Brady or Aaron Rodgers took a knee in solidarity with Kaepernick for the exact same reason as Kaepernick then they’d be blackballed too. I disagree, but very well could be right. We'll never know though. Aaron Rodgers is the best on the planet. I just can't see 32 teams who's goal is to win games, passing on the player that gives them a better chance than anyone else to do so.
April 17, 20188 yr Haven't we seen people at Johnny Manziel workouts lately, and discussing a return to the NFL? I honestly don't know. Didn't even know Manziel was holding workouts. Has Kaep done any open workouts?

The negative attention brought forth by Rodgers doing what Kaepernick did would multiply exponentially. The media circus would be absolutely insane. Green Bay would implode. It would be astronomical IMO.
April 17, 20188 yr I honestly don't know. Didn't even know Manziel was holding workouts. Has Kaep done any open workouts? Johnny Manziel has a chance to be Tom’s backup this season is what I have been seeing. I think Kaep had an open workout in Houston recently.
April 17, 20188 yr I honestly don't know. Didn't even know Manziel was holding workouts. Has Kaep done any open workouts? What would be the point of Kaep doing open workouts? People are suddenly convinced he doesn't have the talent and he's been blackballed.

It would be astronomical IMO. I disagree whole heartedly. When you have a talent like Rodgers the media would choose to ignore his protests and focus solely on his play. Kap isn’t good enough to earn that kind of cache. If Brady or Rodgers kneel instead of Kap this story would have been dead a month after it started.

Brady or Rodgers kneeling during the national anthem to protest systemic racism and police brutality against blacks? All preseason? All 16 games? Playoffs and Super Bowl? You sure?

If Kaepernick is as bad a QB as some say then why did the media cover it in the first place?
