October 24, 200619 yr Chris Vaughn, the transfer from Notre Dame and a redshirt freshman, Scott Long. Evidently they were paintballing some bar patrons. Facing second degree assault charges.
October 24, 200619 yr Thats funny, I dont care who ya are Not so funny!! If you were the intended target!!
October 24, 200619 yr These guys could be in serious trouble. It is a felony assualt charge. In a similar incident recently in Calf. the guilty shooters were sent to prison, young guys just like them shooting out of a car and filming it. I hope they get the best lawyers possible because they may need them.
October 24, 200619 yr Whatever the punishment is, I hope these young men learn a valuable lesson. I hope they are allowed to continue to play football & get their college degree.
October 24, 200619 yr New story on the CJ suggests these guys had done it before, or at least someone with an identical vehicle. Second run in with the law for Vaughn. He was kicked out of Notre Dame becuase of legal issues
October 24, 200619 yr Punishable and stupid prank, I agree, but how is paintballing someone a felony?
October 24, 200619 yr I knew about this Saturday Night, because I work in a haunted house (not Haunted Hotel, but another member of the Haunted Network.) I didn't want to say anything because I'd just 'heard' that it was U of L players, but didn't get conformation and certainly no names. This is my opinion: Bobby Petrino runs a very tight ship, and 'professionalism' is his byword. These guys are in hot water over this, and they should be- some of those neighborhoods back behind there aren't the safest, and some people thought it was real gunfire. What I think will happen is a one game suspension, for what might be the biggest game in the careers of these young men. That and they will run until their legs fall off, mostly because even the most minor distraction causes extreeme dissatisfaction in Petrino. A final thought... anyone else think that its a testament to what a tight program Petrino runs that this is a big deal? Don't Tennessee players get caught shooting REAL guns at people on a semi-annual basis?
October 25, 200619 yr Don't Tennessee players get caught shooting REAL guns at people on a semi-annual basis? I thought that was Miami
October 25, 200619 yr I had a staff member of mine get shot in the mouth with a paint ball that went under his face protection during training. Three stitches to close the cut. Now these two jerks shooting at kids with paint balls. I say send both of them to the University of Miami. They will fit right in down there. Thugs. I would bet they will never dress in another U of L uniform.
