I knew about this Saturday Night, because I work in a haunted house (not Haunted Hotel, but another member of the Haunted Network.) I didn't want to say anything because I'd just 'heard' that it was U of L players, but didn't get conformation and certainly no names.

This is my opinion: Bobby Petrino runs a very tight ship, and 'professionalism' is his byword. These guys are in hot water over this, and they should be- some of those neighborhoods back behind there aren't the safest, and some people thought it was real gunfire.

What I think will happen is a one game suspension, for what might be the biggest game in the careers of these young men. That and they will run until their legs fall off, mostly because even the most minor distraction causes extreeme dissatisfaction in Petrino.

A final thought... anyone else think that its a testament to what a tight program Petrino runs that this is a big deal? Don't Tennessee players get caught shooting REAL guns at people on a semi-annual basis?

I think for the most part all college coaches run a tight ship, not just Petrino. I agree some police more than others but the coaches family depend on his employment so he has to run a tight ship to insure his family is fed. I don't think it is getting attention because of the tight ship of Petrino, it is getting attention because it involves college football players from a very popular university. It doesn't seem to be getting the local attention I thought it would receive. If it had been a OSU or Miami player you guys would have been all over it. It is a big deal because it very well could have led to a much serious problem under the right scenario. Like you mentioned it was not the best (location)place to decide to be stupid.

It was a dumb college kid prank. I know, some of those pranks can be pretty serious, but this will blow over and is hardly a BIG deal.

Punishable and stupid prank, I agree, but how is paintballing someone a felony?

Imo in the times we are all living in today anything that involves any type of gun will be looked at in that way. Fair or not.

I still say box the two thugs up and send them to Miami. They will fit in down there. Louisville football does not need these two.

Because it's a gun.

I had a staff member of mine get shot in the mouth with a paint ball that went under his face protection during training. Three stitches to close the cut. Now these two jerks shooting at kids with paint balls. I say send both of them to the University of Miami. They will fit right in down there. Thugs. I would bet they will never dress in another U of L uniform.

I would hope not :thumb: Miami would be a good place for them and maybe Va. Tech.

No program needs two thug idiots like that.

Because it's a gun.
I think most people would notice a difference between a paintball and a bullet, they have similarities but are not the same.

Or maybe OSU.

I was waiting on that comment.

Im agree RRR but as I said considering the times we live in today and all the anti-gun sentiment out there I would think that they would use that point about a gun of any type.

I'm explaining to you the reason I was given by an authority, of course a paintball is different than a bullet Captain Obvious.
