Strong choice of words, but hear what you are saying that it creates more jobs to benefit the rest of the folks in the state. Your first post says give it to their pensions. Not a fan of that idea.
May 14, 20188 yr This ruling did not make gambling and casinos legal everywhere. The Supreme Court just pushed the laws on gambling down to the state level. It is up to each state to make law on what types of gambling are legal and illegal in their state. Ky. has been fighting over legalizing casinos for years. I know a state rep that is in favor of it, but feels it is up to the people to vote on it and it has not made the ballot. @Jumper_Dad and @Hellcats both nailed it. It will be an issue getting it passed in KY. in the near future.
May 14, 20188 yr In most states Horse Tracks are the ones best setup to take sports betting almost immediately. The infrastructure they have in place is already a sports book. The Horse Industry should be excited for this. You could pass Sports Gambling in KY without Casinos if needed. Living in Ohio I expect them or at least hope they will have it passed by football season. Also Draft Kings sent out an email to customers saying they will be taking bets in the near future. I can't wait to be able to place bets without off shore websites and bookies.

It was a United States thing which is why I stopped. I could put money in (the offshore websites), but I couldn't necessarily get my winnings out very easily.
