Decent team coming off a yeoman's performance again UL and a shot at a bowl bid... Dantonio may be vanilla but is a good coach. I was going to comment on the crowd, that was a pretty bad showing. Game being on Sunday night may have had something to do with it. I would had thought they would have had more than that though.

I would had thought they would have had more than that though. No offense to UC football at all, but they have never had really good attendence ever. UC is in a football state, unfortunatley they had to compete with the Bengals being in town. On a side note, it will be interesting to see UC's Basketball attendence this year, especially if they don't get off to a good start.

I think the fact that it was a late Sunday start, with the Bengals playing in town earlier in the day, and the fact that Cincinnati is a high school town first (in my opinion), its hard to imagine the Bearcats ever drawing very well.

October 24, 200619 yr I was pulling for UC in this game because I thought that they had a good shot. I will also pull for them againt UConn and the Cuse. That will get them to 6 and likely a bowl. I will pull for USF against Syracuse to get them to a bowl two. I want to see 6 teams from the Big East in a bowl this year.

I saw him play once in h.s. along with Lofton on that Mason Co. team - they were awesome. Until they came to Ft. Thomas and played the Birds........

Thomas and played the Birds........: There are certainties in life - death, taxes, and someone from Fort Thomas putting someone down, even when the subject at hand has nothing to do with the Bluebirds. Small wonder that some folks are secretly pleased when the Birds get thumped by the big boys or suffer some other misfortune. Not saying I'm one of them, but I know more than a few. I was at that game in 2003 (it was COLD). While the better team won, I've always thought that had everyone on the officiating crew not turned their head or suddenly found that their shoestrings were extraordinarily interesting when Mason County was trying to call time-out for the last seven seconds of the first half while down around the Birds' 25-yard line, the cheese could have been a little more binding.
