October 23, 200619 yr It was 2-0 for the longest time. I really believe that Cincy will be a factor in the Big East the next few years. Right now they have a great defense, and the offense will come around with more experiance. It's to bad that more people in Cincinnati aren't taking notice.
October 23, 200619 yr That was painful to watch. I turned it off after UC went up 16-0 on the drive from the fake punt fiasco. (Sometimes this coaching staff makes decisions that make me cringe. Especially on the road.) Matt Grothe finally looked like a freshman. Terrible game. UC's defense was stifling.

Speilman (spelling?) doing the commentary mentioned just that and said that he knew Dantonio well and could promise that there would be a price to pay for that kid. I wouldn't want to be him in practice.:eek:

There is no doubt they are one of the best in the NCAA... :thumb: That defense is very tough, I believe I heard the t.v. crew say that UC "D" was ranked 9th in the nation vs. the run (and that is with playing a pretty good OOC schedule). This is amazing how far they have come on defense but with their coach now it is really not. UC has got a great coach. Heck, with a KY. kid at qb and a former Buckeye "D" coordinator I might actually pull for them (in most games):eek: . I can't believe I just said that.:lol: :eek:

I saw him play once in h.s. along with Lofton on that Mason Co. team - they were awesome.

Under 16K in attendance and by the looks of it on TV that was generous. That is truly pathetic. Decent team coming off a yeoman's performance again UL and a shot at a bowl bid... Dantonio may be vanilla but is a good coach. UNC is in the business for a coach...might the phone be ringing in the football office?
