Heard from Nicks parents this evening. Nick's doctor visit went great. He is now conditonally released to do Cardio and tossing. And if there is no

setbacks doing those things, the doctor will release him for full-contact next thursday in time for 1st round of playoffs.

 

They would probably only use him on that Friday in an emergency and give him a week to get back into better game shape.

Great news for Nick! He is also a great kid! I won't ever forget how big he played against OCath in last years State Championship! I'm glad he's healing and the senior should get another shot at playing football before graduation!

Fleming has bascially 2 different offenses this season. They have their usual spread and Bailey Ellison is starting to find his range throwing the ball, main receivers are Moore and Roberts. Then, they get into a Maryland Stack I with 3 backs behind the QB, double tightend and run it down your throat with McIntyre. 2 HUGE backs in the backfield in front of McIntyre, Nutter and Taylor who block well. I personally think that running the ball will be Fleming's best bet. They are a much better team than they were early in the season. But I still look for Russell to win the game.

I still watch the video from time to time.

Possibly a wet night on Friday in Flemingsburg. Fleming has had trouble passing on those rainy nights this year. I expect Fleming coming out trying to pass and then going to the run. We've done that several times this year. If Fleming can keep it close, they will go back to the spread offense sometime in the game.

The seeding so far for this district looks like #1 Russell #2 Fleming #3 West Carter # 4 East Carter (West beat East head to head).

If you got an allstar team from the other three , no chance they beat the Devils .. Hope this doesn't come back to haunt us this year.

 

Would for sure , if Jrs and Srs didn't already know the way to the box ...

 

Go Devils , we want another ride like last year ... Playoff football past the two district cupcakes is all about protecting the ball and making enough plays to win ... You can do it ... Build off experience and fundamentals and you guys will be fine .. Go Devils ..

Russell needs to come out more focused and ready to play. Talent doesn't always win.

Same Old Story.... Russell scores alot, Fleming doesn't.
