Fleming had 550 yards of offense. McAdams had 450 yards of passing. The Panthers could not stop Pope in the second half. He had 36 yards rushing in 1st half, over 230 yards in second.

Disappointing is all I can say. To have a 19 point lead, and watch Nicholas score the last 20 points of the game is absolutely unacceptable. Nicholas wanted it more and laid it all on the line.

There are a couple of kids, Cole Clark and Travis Taylor, that did not play last year. These two guys along with Chaise Gulley are the starting receivers. That gives the Panthers more weapons and speed than they had last year. Desmond McAdams, the starting quarterback, was playing in his first varsity game against the Blue Jackets last year, so he has a year of experience under his belt. The confidence level of this years team is much better than our game last year against Nicholas as well.

If Fleming comes out the way they did against Bath County, and they do a good job containing Pope, then the Panthers should come out on top at least by 2 scores.

I think fatigue is becoming a factor. Our freshman have never played as much as they are playing now, and the shots are starting to miss, rim out, etc. The Panthers probably shot around 30% for the game.

Huge win for the Panthers!!! Listening to the radio, it sounded like it was a great duel between Knipp and Burns. I think Knipp had 37 and Burns had 36 if I can recall. 16th region is absolutely wacky this year!!!

The Panthers finish as the runner up in the Hilton Sandestin Beach Blowout Classic in Florida. Darion Burns led the Panthers in scoring with 15. Great tournament as for the Panthers, hopefully they will keep the momentum rolling when they get back to the Commonwealth!

The Panthers beat #5 ranked team in 3A Glencoe (AL). Darion Burns once again led the Panthers with 29. Fleming County faces 5A Faith Academy of Mobile (AL) for title of Hilton Sandestin Beach Blowout Classic.

Just by looking at different ranking websites, I think most of the teams are ranked a little higher than Fleming County. Paxton was 8-1 coming in to the game. Nashville Christian is going to be the worse team that they will face in the tournament. They were I think 5-8 coming in. The Paxton win was definitely an upset. As a panther fan, the progress this young team is showing is an encouraging sign.

Freshman Darion Burns once again leads the Panthers with 19. They now advance to the semis of the Hilton Sandestin Beach Blowout against White Plains or Glencoe Alabama.

Fleming County is playing in the Sandestin Hilton Beach Blowout Classic (More than a Mouthful) in Florida 27th-31st. There opening game is against Paxton Florida.

Fleming is lacking experience and inside presence (bulk). The Panthers did not have anybody to body up with Ashland's inside guys. Gregg is a heck of a player. I'm pretty sure you may see some more scores like this coming up. Patience will be the key with the Panther fans. Our rotation includes 5 freshman & sophomores seeing their first varsity action.
