Who wins this border battle? Fleming County is coming off a 54-14 win vs Bath County and Nicholas County is trying to bounce back from a 33-30 loss to Lewis County.

If Fleming comes out the way they did against Bath County, and they do a good job containing Pope, then the Panthers should come out on top at least by 2 scores.

Fleming by 3 scores.

Who returned/improved etc that will make a difference over last years NCHS win? Serious question, not talking trash.

Just a guess, Fleming 24-20.

There are a couple of kids, Cole Clark and Travis Taylor, that did not play last year. These two guys along with Chaise Gulley are the starting receivers. That gives the Panthers more weapons and speed than they had last year. Desmond McAdams, the starting quarterback, was playing in his first varsity game against the Blue Jackets last year, so he has a year of experience under his belt. The confidence level of this years team is much better than our game last year against Nicholas as well.

I say IMO that Nicholas will strugle with the speed of Fleming. Fleming is very fast when given the blocks and tough to track down from behind. Nicholas however with a strong running game and clock control may negate Flemings offensive speed by limiting time on the field. 1st game jitters out of the way should be a good game. Best of luck to each team and hope that tempers don't flair and injuries held at zilch.
