Simon Kenton at Walton Verona tonight (32nd District Championship)

Featured Replies

Predictions? Who wins and why? Who will be the X factor? Probably the best matchup in NKY tonight. WV rated #1 in the 8th region.

Should be a good one. Either way I don't think the other 3 district winners would want to draw this district runner-up in the first game of the regional.

Should be a great game. I would say if you want a seat you get there early. Will probably be a sell out. Good luck to both teams moving forward. I also agree with the said above, I wouldn't want to play either of these two teams first round of Regions. Rep NKY!

I think Niece has shown improvement over the last meeting, however I believe WV will have an answer for Kitchens this time around. For SK to have a chance in this one Kelsch will finally have to play up to his 6'9" size, I have to give WV the nod in this one also.

Robinson being out with torn ACL hurts SK but I am sure they are not making excuses since WV is also missing 6'10 Miles this year. I think you know what you are getting from Kelch, Niece, Kitchens for SK and Stanley/Clinkenbeard/Pardee for WV. This may come down to which of the others step up, Hensley, Davis, Perry for SK and Lay, Grubbs, Jones, Shazier for WV.

I believe SK will be focused on shutting down Clinkenbeard & Stanley. I don't feel as if SK is concerned about Pardee. Per KHSAA stats Pardee only scored 4 points in their last game against SK. Kelch at 6'8" will control the paint tonight defensively. I expect Kelch will have a bigger impact on tonight's game than the last time they played.

I do agree it will come down to other players stepping up for both teams beyond their normal top 2 or 3 players. Should be a great game.

Walton 59

SK 55

Walton wins this one by 10 especially since Robinson is out.

The last two years these teams have played the win was determined by 10pt, 3pts and 3pts. This should be no different. SK will have to guard against the 3's and WV will have to neutralize Kelch and Niece. At any rate this will be a great atmosphere and a good match up. I'm going with SK by 2, only because I'm a fan and want to be loyal. I will say this, it is not inconceivable that we could see a three-peat in the regional finals as well. Not a prediction, just saying.

Two very good teams...looking forward to watching this one tonight!

Who guards Kitchens?

I knew Robinson was hurt but didn't know the extent, here's hoping for a speedy recovery. Close game, hoping SK wins but WV is the favorite and playing at home. Wish I could see it live.
