Congratulations LCA. Good teams win close games. This is a good team with a legit shot in the 11th.

No, they are really good.

LC playing without Payne and almost pulling off a win, makes me wonder.

Doesn’t matter. I don’t see anybody beating Scott county. That play too well on defense and play too well on offense to lose to a team from KY.

"Doesn't matter"? So cancel all the remaining tournaments?! You can review and reflect on games without questioning what it means going forward. It was a great game with a great finish. It shouldn't be belittled because Scott County is ranked #1.

Yes both of Johnson’s brothers play D1. He’s as good of a freshman as there is in the state outside of the Harmon kid. Will be a fun kid to watch the next 3 years. LCA really good and catholic almost stole one without Payne!

I agree, it completely matters!

LCA kids got a moral victory, assured themselves at least two more games if not more, and are going to create more memories ...

If it doesnt matter and "no one can beat Scott County" then lets just cancel the regional and sweet 16 tourneys and move on to baseball!

Sounds like it was an amazing game!

What does your opinion of Scott County have anything to do with this thread?

That’s crazy. The beat three top ten teams last week and just beat their rival in the district tourney. LCA is a top ten team. They’re outstanding. They might win every other region In KY.

Scott county is by far the best team in the region. I know people hate that Scott county is this good because they are a public school and not private but it is what it is. LCA is a good team, but they aren’t on the level as S.C.

All true statements. How are they relevant to Christian beating Catholic?

Earlier this year they were playing SC very tough in SC I might add, before Rhodes got hurt. It is playoff time and I'm telling you anything can happen at this time of the year.

I feel so bad for Lex Cath. No dog in the fight but man that is a tough way to lose a game. Someone said it best; that one will sting for awhile.

Lexington christian is one of the few teams in the state that is "bigger" than Scott county. Their discipline and ability to deal with pressure and defend is what it takes to stick with Scott County.

Even more so, as funny as this might sound but Rhodes playing the point was able to dictate the pace of the game. He was also able to go down low and score in the post. they may not beat SC, but it ludicrous to just give the champ to SC at this point.
