He was thinkin this guy isnt gonna score on a breakaway. When 280lb fouls 180lb to deny a basket, it will be an intentional foul. I promise.

Or when 280lbs grabs a player from behind while going up for a lay up without making a play on the ball. That is the definition of an intentional foul. I promise. The attempted tackle ended with 280lbs on the ground while Mercer player landed on his feet.

I can guarantee you that if it would have been a tackle by big Will the other player would not have landed on his feet.

Nah the W was enough

Fair enough...for the record the play was officiated correctly in my opinion.

Smith looked like he was, and Hotchkiss

Guarantee that if they were talking smack it was after something was said to them. Neither one of them talks smack to anyone ever. But they won’t back down either. On the double technical on Trevon and Grant if there had to be a technical foul called on that play then it should have been on Trevon alone. Grant never said a single word to Trevon. Trevon was the only one talking in that situation. I think the ref jumped the gun in that situation and I wouldn’t have called anything but Grant basically got a technical foul call on him for nothing.

Watch the game on youtube. There is a time where smith is holding on to Trevon's shorts. You see in the video Trevon look down and smack Reece's hand away. From there they bump each other for 20-30 seconds. It was the play where Reece eventually flopped and nothing was called. I think it was going both ways for sure and not just Trevon initiating it.

Smith said to the Official that Trevon had walked and that is when Trevon said something to Smith and then it was just on from there.

I really don't think that Slone has gotten over his ankle that he hurt last week. Looks to me that he is still favoring it some.

I was at the game working the scoreboard. I saw it all. Heard most of it. All I saw and heard was gamesmanship from both sides and both left it on the floor. Before that play you mentioned they had a scrum and it was deemed Boyle County ball. Trevon got animated. Reese got animated back. They stayed in each other’s faces the rest of the game. I never heard or saw Reese or Grant initiate any trash talk with Trevon.

Had anyone said Baby J was initiating the trash talk then you would more than likely would have been correct. He talked trash more than any of the other Rebels Tuesday night and he talks trash more than anyone else on the team. I know for a fact he and Carter jawed and pushed and clawed all night long and I know he said stuff to Trevon too when there was a minor dust up early in the game. Reese and Grant didn’t initiate anything but they won’t back down either.

No I agree just competitors going at it nothing wrong with it but can't say it was one sided or just one person starting it because it was both ways. If you want some comedy watch the around the 1:14 mark on the youtube game replay above. Around the 1:21 mark is funny also.

My only point is that Grant and Reese did not initiate any trash talking.

I do plan to go back and watch the game. I just haven’t had time yet. I was happy to see Prepspin broadcast the game.

Did Danny Butt play for Pulaski in that first meeting? They seem to have really come on after he got healthy.

Mercer really jumped on Pulaski early. They came out ready to play and earned the win. Danny played but Pulaski had 2 starters and 3 rotational guys battling injuries and sickness. All played but rotation was different and energy was not there. It was bad timing because the KOB is a gauntlet.

Saying all that, Mercer put on a clinic against Pulaski last year too in the regular season.

12th region basketball is once again competitive and that’s a great thing for the fans.

As for this game, Boyle will be a tough out in the tournament like always. They’re always ready to play their best ball come tournament time
