KSP says they will release info on shooter when they have it confirmed. As of right now they cannot confirm the age, gender, or if the shooter was a student at Marshall County High School.

They have someone in custody, who they (KSP) said is the shooter, but none of that information?

I’m standing by at Vanderbilt Medical Center, where one victim of the Marshall County HS shooting has already landed. LifeFlight confirms three more victims are on the way.

That's what I thought.

We have been told that the press conference with Governor Matt Bevin will start at noon at the Marshall County Board of Education. We were just updated that 1 suspect is in custody and there is nobody else “we believe is responsible.”

1:00 EST.

I happened to walk past our break room at work, and caught a glimpse of the CNN headline “school shooting in Kentucky”. As a parent with kids at school in KY, your heart stops for a moment.

Terrifying, prayers to all involved.

President Donald trump has been briefed on the deadly shooting at Marshall County High School in Kentucky, the White House confirms.

One person is dead and at least seven others were injured after a gunman opened fire at the school Tuesday morning. The suspect is in custody. KSP said the gunman was apprehended by a Marshall County sheriff's deputy.

Five victims of the shooting are being treated at Vanderbilt University Medical Center...

Nearly 100 kids ran out of Marshall County High School seeking safety, said Mitchell Garland told the Associated Press, who rushed outside of his business when he heard about the shooting.

"They was running and crying and screaming," he said. "They was just kids running down the highway. They were trying to get out of there."

Garland said he made sure the students were safe. He said his own son, a 16-year-old sophomore, jumped into someone's car and sped away, then made his way to his dad's office.

"Everyone is just scared. Just terrified for their kids," Garland said. "We're a small town and we know a lot of the kids."
