For someone who is supposed to be a college football guru, he said a couple of things today that made me scratch my head.

 

First he stated mark it down that Troy Smith would be the 1st QB taken in the draft over Quinn, etc.

 

I guess thats not too bad, but I just don't see Smith as the type of QB that NFL coaches are looking for that high. I just don't see how Quinn or Brohm (if he comes out) wouldn't go before him.

 

Secondly he gave his top 12 teams as follows:

 

1. Ohio State

2. Michigan

3. Tennessee

4. Texas

5. Florida

6. Southern Cal

7. Auburn

8. West Virginia

9. Wisconsin

10. Notre Dame

11. Nebraska

12. California.

 

Everyones entitled to their opinion, but how can an alledged college football guru leave Louisville out of a top 12. In spite of injuries to their top 2 players they have pretty much rolled through their schedule. I'm not a UL fan but that seems pretty ignorant to me.

I think this guy is starting to buy his own hype. His content is on a swift decline IMO...

I really hate that if any caller disagrees with him he acts like they are stupid. I guess I still miss Tony Kornheiser during that time slot.

The Herd is by far the best show on ESPN Radio...

 

As for his top 12, I thought it was well done. He doesn't look at wins and losses, and sometimes not even head-to-head on someone else's field. I wish more people would vote like that. Is Florida better than Auburn? I think so even though they lost to them. I'm surprised he had WVU and USC that high to be honest. Cal is better than both of them.

It took me a while to get warmed up to Colin, but I do like his show.

 

Nothing will compare to Tony in this slot though. TK was my favorite. Never missed his show.

I like to listen every now and then, but I don't like it when the callers who disagree with him, he makes them out to be stupid, as strike-3 stated. If you guys are familar with John Boy and Billy, they tend to do the same thing. And some of their callers aren't that wise, but too much is too much. Eventually, your goint to kick so mant before they decide to listen else where.

This is why I listen to Fox Sports Radio on channel 142 on my XMRadio....

 

Cowherd likes to spark the fans, but then doesn't really give them any credit when they disagree. Troy Smith will NOT be the 1st QB taken....and Louisville is certainly better than at least Wisconsin and Nebraska....you know what, I don't care what the nerd said anyway.

Miami (Not the same anymore) But a good win.

West Virginia (the only tough opponent). Good luck with that.

Rutgers?? Dont talk to me about "undefeated" Rutgers...their schedule is worse the UL's. They are pretenders.

Kansas State was a good nonconference win.

Pittsbugh maybe is the real deal, but they usually choke themselves.

I have that option also but to me Craig Sheman and James Washington aren't that entertaining. Cowherd is at least entertaining, but I can't stand it when be makes rediculous statements and then lashes out at anyone who doesn't agree, at least let them have their say.

 

Thankfully during Cowherds last hour, FSR replays Steve Czaban. He's one of the best in my opinion. Even though he often strays from the world of sports, he is usually pretty funny IMO.
