Here's what I'm bringing with me: Vacationland - John Hodgman The Ball is Round: A Global History of Soccer - David Goldblatt Washington, A Life - Ron Chernow Walkaway - Cory Doctorow Station Eleven - Emily St. John Mandel The Circle - Dave Eggers Gods and Generals - Jeff Shaara Natchez Burning - Greg Iles Ron Chernow is one my favorite biographers. "Washington a Life", "Alexander Hamiton", and "Titan: The Life of John D. Rockefeller, Sr." are all fantastic. Because of these, I plan on getting "Grant" sometime this year. I saw the movie, "The Circle", and found it intriguing. My experience tells me the book would be much better. I have to get it. FWIW, "Gone Girl" is the only movie I've ever liked better than the book from which it was made. Man what a ponderous book that was. I do not like Gillian Flynn's style of writing at all.

I'm currently reading a book by Goldblatt on the Olympics. I really like his writing. Side note, I feel like I've either read or want to read everything you post!
June 23, 20188 yr My re-read of Jack Reacher continues. I finished "Echo Burning" and "Without Fail". Currently working on "Persuader".
June 25, 20188 yr This is the third in the series. I enjoy the Dragon Age video games so I started this series. They are filling in a lot of the lore.
July 2, 20188 yr What did you think?I enjoyed it, didn't see the big twist at the end coming, but if I was ranking the series it would be on the bottom.
