let UK beat Louisville on a play like that or let St.X beat Trinity and you would feel the same way.

And if you're going to sit there and tell me that with the game on the line, had Golden Boy Palmer been hit like that NOBODY would have said anything...I smell bull.....

Well you must be smelling things then, because no body would have. If Carson would have been hit like that, and there wasn't a flag, nobody would have said anything because no one would have ever thought of that as a roughing the passer. That was a regular sack that you see everyday in football, and never gets called, so we would have had no reason to believe that should have been a flag if that happened to us..

It is 100% false. If the ball were thrown a hair shorter to Chad on the 51 yarder, he scores....you could say that cost them the game....you see how a 130+ game, can not come down to 1 play now?

That play right there did cost them the game. But they should have never been in that position to begin with, it is the teams own fault for allowing themselves to be in that position where a call like that could change the game. Then they had the chance to still stop them but didn't. However play did change the whole outcome of the game...

Yes, I have always felt that way...U of L lost to WVU, when the refs should've called the offsides penalty, et al on the onsides kick....they lost, I didn't say it COST them the game, a factor? sure...not why U of L lost. They could've stopped them from scoring, just like the Bengals could've.

You contradict yourself in your own post. Saying it COST them the game, but that they shouldn't have put themselves in position to be in that situation.

Had it not happened they probably would have won. The result was they lost. It cost them the game. On the same level the Bengals and fans can't be shocked or surprised at losing on the road with so many key injuries and suspensions.

Now, I will admit that I think that was a bad call, but that is what happens when you let a team hang around. The loss does not go on the officials, it goes on the Offense for only scoring one TD and the Defense for not stopping a bad offense.

I said that they shouldn't have put themselves into that position where the ref could cost them the game, but even as bad as the Bengals played they still were going to win the game until that call happened. So yes the play did cost them the game, but I know they shouldn't have been in that position.

This would fall under my sky is falling theorum!

No one said the sky is falling. We have one of the best QB's in the league and a top 3 OL when its healthy. We have a great WR's corp. As soon as we get some people back from injuries and suspensions(Henry) we will start to be more constant.

You just don't get it.....ask any coach, at any level. ONE PLAY DOES NOT COST A GAME.

It sure did Sunday. Try saying that to Guy Morris and the Cats during their loss to LSU a couple of years back. Also, tell that to Jon Gruden and the Raiders during their game against the Pats a few years back. And, try telling that to Rick Pitino and the Cats when Laettner hit hsi shot or even....well, you get the picture.

And they will have different answers just like the people here.
