---One point of reference for this game....Last night's 6th region championship soccer match, was played at Manual Stadium, in a down pour. Most of us know that soccer can really tear up a "pitch" (field as we like to call it). With that, and the weather not really heating up...this field could be in a bad way.

Its a shame we couldn't use PaPa Johns, at least I could say we played a game there during my sons four years. I love Manual Staduim the history and times I've been there, but does anybody know about the lights? Shouldn't they charge more money to the X folks and get some new lights? How many years has X used the field? Finding a place to park is always an adventure. I guess I'll get there around 3PM.

Come on Bama Larry - Its not the tennets responsibility to make up grades etc to the facilities.... The land lord has that responsibility... What Manual does with the rent money for the last 60 years...? who knows.... who cares... Manual Stadium will have to feed themselves from now on.... Now, let the Manual alums build a new parking garage and new concession stand, new lights etc.... it is much needed.... Don't blame St. X for the poor lighting conditions at Manual Stadium...... Rest a sure, there wont be any lighting problems on the Poplar Level campus come next fall... I really dont think it would be to ST. X's advantage to move it to PJ ( a neutral site..) Male can move there home game next year to PJ...... LOL

157...Thats what I said the money from X could have helped upgrade their lights. I didn't "blame" X for anything and next year it will not be an issue for X will have their own place and I'm sure it will be fine. I mentioned Pa Pa Johns for the fans. In high school I don't think there is a "home field advantage" both teams stay in their own homes the nite before the game and their fans have unlimited tickets. Seating tonite will be fine its the parking that a lot of folks dislike. We are fine with playing our games at Male and there is no reason to move. Come on Larry it is unlike you to cry so much. He may get a shot if X wins tonight and the field stays bad. X had teh option of PJCS I heard but declined.

I will miss the game tonight due to some poor scheduling on my wife's part. I hope to get updates. I look for the Tigers to spread the field and allow Vick to break tackles for long runs and try the quick hitters with Duece. I also look for some passing to the tight end after a play action to Vick...

The O line just needs a crease for Vic/Duece to Bust open the Junk Defense...

 

On defense I am sure H will score but not as many as some think, maybe 21-28. X rarely gives up over 30 and I don't think Bush is playing to score in the 50's. Even Brohm and T rarely broke 20-24 points....

Male has not played one game in PJ in the last 3 + seasons?? Not doubting you, just seems kinda strange. Obviously I dont follow Male very closely unless the path intersects with the Tigers, but how is it that this came about? I would think they would have participated in one of those preseason bowl games or certianlly a playoff game... How has the Male Varsity season ended the last three years? Im, serious, I do not know??

I think he may be referring to one of the U of L 7 on 7 passing tournaments.

Brian never scored twenty in leading the Rocks to a 3-1 record versus the Tigers during his tenure. The last Rock QB to eclipse the twenty point barrier was Geoff Riddle in 2000.
