I guess it is the fact he is willing to give a soundbite which makes him captivating to media members. There was interest with Lonzo coming on the scene last year, but now with him not being a top 100 player in the NBA (yet), and the two brothers being trained by his father, the story is just not that interesting. My theory is that media members are hellbent on trying to say, "here you should find interest in this guy because we hitched our wagon to him..." so they make him relevant. It has now crossed over into exploitation of his children. At some point the wheels will fall off on his relationship with his kids. Lonzo is the only one guaranteed to make it big. The others we shall see...

Whitlock reported today that Liangelo was the center of the Chinese investigation because of his use of a declined credit card at three locations. He was the only one of the three that stole from all three stores, despite he and dad going on tv basically saying Liangelo was a victim of circumstance.
