How much of a factor was the perfect weather in the attendance.

Good point.

Never mind I’m from the western end of the state not the love triangle. Do you not think attendance record had something to do with both Boyle and Danville participating

It was up in every class...

Love, love, love the feel at UK. For the record I liked BG better than UL, but I thought UK was great. And since the SEC championship game is always at a neutral site, scheduling should never be a problem, LOL.

I’d assume UK uses the football stadium for student parking as UofL does, that’s why, I’d imagine.

And staff parking. Staff has to pay for parking to fund the bus shuttles.

Draw an hour-and-a-half drive circle around Lexington and Bowling Green on a map.

The 3 largest MSAs (the triangle) are in the Lexington circle and over half of the state's population.

In the Bowling Green circle you are going to pickup Owensboro, Hopkinsville and be closer to everything west of 65. Nashville is also in that circle since BG is fairly close to the KY-TN border. As noted it takes over 4 hours to get from the mountains to BG. That's about the same time distance as Memphis to BG.

Lexington does make a lot of sense for state championships in the state. The attendance may have gotten a pop due to team and weather factors but it will definitely be higher going forward.

I’ll be interested to see if Louisville submits a bid again once construction is done this offseason.

I live in Louisville, and PJCS is my third choice for this event. Keep it in Lexington!

Yah,

Daughter has car in K lot. Has to move it for UK football games.

This weekend wasn't on the list of weekends they had to move. Says she got an email that week telling her she needed to move it.

It was a bit of a mess for a bunch of the UK students.

Normally they can find spots at the other end of campus, book store, etc...

Volleyball game(s?) at Memorial took up most of the regular spots they use.
