Continuously Growing List of Men Accused of Sexual Misconduct, Harassment & Assault

I'm afraid with all the accusations coming daily, many will start to become tone deaf to this. I sincerely hope not, but that is my fear.

That may happen, but I can't see how our society could ignore these acts more than already have.

If any are found to be untrue, which some will be, it will cause a numbing of society to the issue.

When Megyn Kelly's morning NBC show began nearly 2 months ago, I really wanted to like it, (considering that the Today Show's 9-10 spot was already a train wreak), and while she initially painted her plan for the show to be fun and not always concentrating on negative heavy topics, (which I had a hunch that she was full of it with saying that), she absolutely wasted no time to make the show a complete women power trip, and especially now with every show, day after day being about sexual abuse and harassment.

It's presently in the news and I get that, but this sister is not letting up one bit. I'm all for women's rights, and I get her using her show to help advance this, but it's completely apparent that this is her one and only focus, and while I don't mind thinking about it, I don't find a steady diet of it to be how I typically like to start my day.

This morning the Today Show was mostly light hearted with talk of Thanksgiving, and towards the end they had Megyn Kelly talk up a little preview about what her show had in store for us, and it just felt like such a Debbie Downer moment to hear her take the good energy and once again pound the issue of sexual harassment blah blah blah...and you could almost feel Matt, Savannah, Al and Co just wanting so badly to say "Wernt-Wernnnn".

She's quickly now become just a parody of herself, and while I initially thought that she might make a significant contribution (like she obviously thinks that she is), her star is fading fast for me, and I'm now finding her to just be overkill and annoying.

You can add Garrison Keillor to the list. His news got buried a bit under the Matt Lauer revelation.

Talk about timing...maybe they should have paid better attention.

Yeah that one, I'm not so sure about. One, isolated instance where he put his hand on a woman's back? (And no, I'm not saying that things have to happen more than once, or to multiple people in order to be taken seriously.)

He owned it, but he also made jokes about it. Liberal conspiracy theorists are saying it never comes out had he not wrote a column that appears in many papers across the country defending Al Franken, fellow Minnesotan.

I had not seen that. The lone article that I read about it, he said his story differed from what NPR had put out. Basically that he was consoling this woman, and put his hand on her back, her shirt had ridden up and ended up touching bare skin. It stopped right there. He apologized, she accepted.

What else have you heard/read?

Not a Franken fan by any means but IMO some of those allegations against him were more along the lines of inappropriateness rather than harassment. The woman who allegedly had her side breast grabbed during a picture - what power did Franken hold over her? He was a comedian at the time. How are you going to sit there and let a man grab your breast and not say anything at that moment?! Thank God for my mom who raised me to always find my voice and not take any crap!

Sounds like it falls more under sexual assault
