Looks like Boyle is the favorite as I would expect based upon rankings. However, I'm a little surprised with several posters picking the Rebels to run away with it, especially considering E-Town's hosting. Can any of those folks provide some stats and reasons why they feel Boyle wins by 2+ TDs?

I don't know what the margin of victory will be but I do think Boyle will win because by looking at the stats it appears that E-Town likes to run the ball more than pass and Boyle's only allowing 67 YDS rushing per game, and I would give Boyle the edge in strength of schedule those would be two reasons why I'm picking Boyle maybe someone else can tell you more.

These two teams look evenly matched according to the stats and common opponents. Would not be surprised if a field goal decided this one.

I think Boyle wins because they are just really, really good. They have improved all season and are playing high level football at the right time. I got Boyle winning in this one. I'm not going say running clock or anything like that but I'll go 10+ points

I look for a dog fight!

 

A lot of E-town players has been this far in the playoffs 3 times and this is virgin territory for all Boyle players as they've never been this deep in the playoffs. E-town's experience is what concerns me the most in this game. Plus, it's on the road for a young Rebel team.

 

IMO, Boyle has to win the turnovers. This has been an area that they have been really good in this season. Stupid penalties also can play a roll as you can't have a holding penalty stop a drive and be forced to punt the ball.

 

Just win and advance! I don't care how and by how much just get the W!

I coached for a long time stats doesn’t matter in a big game, it may tell you what a team likes to do the most is about it. It’s about match ups. I’ve watched both teams in person, Etown will struggle because of the size and skill of Boyle’s o and d lines. Etown just doesn’t have the size to match up in the trenches, Boyle’s line is massive and can move on both sides of the ball. To me that will be the difference. Etown is really good, but I feel Boyle wins this one. 42-21

Yes. E-Town has a very nice stadium with turf.

Some body correct me if I am wrong. But I believe Boyle and Etown are tied for the most teams left in the Playoffs.

 

Boyle- Collins (W) Wayne (W) Danville (L)

Etown- Franklin Simpson (W) CAL (L) Glasgow (W)

 

Should be a tough matchup. But with that I will have to give Boyle the Edge by 17

That's really why Boyle County dominates teams is because they beat you in the trenches first. I think that if Elizabethtown can cancel out the trench battle it will be an absolute battle. If they can't then Boyle County will win. I'm excited to see what Elizabethtown has to offer!

I like the Rebs in this one. Convincingly! Just don't believe E-town can stay in the game with them. Over early!
