I see where #18 for Etown, Kendrick Williams, has a couple of college offers. (SE Missouri and Kentucky State)

Are there any other players on Etown's roster getting college looks?

Derek Smith #36 for Etown has been offered by Ky State and Culver Stockton College and is receiving interest from several other D2, D3 and NAIA schools. Ky Wesleyan was at Etown earlier this week talking to both Derek and Kendrick. Don’t know if they offered or not.

Boyle will have the size advantage in the trenches and this will E-Town's biggest challenge. E-Town's linemen are in the 225-260 range while I see Boyle has 5-6 in the 275-295 range. I will say this isn't anything E-Town hasn't seen before as they are normally outsized at the line, but it's a huge challenge none the less. I believe all of E-Town's linemen primarily only play one side of the ball. They do have several skill players that play both sides.

@EtownCat ok lets talked food. Is Ryan's still open? Seen online a MR. Gattis pizza across from the school! Also spotted a Texas Road House and Ruby Tuesday's. Is there any local place that's we need to try?

@Rebel I like the way you think! Ryan's is literally gone. The building was demolished back in the summer. In addition to the ones you mentioned, Id suggest, Back Home (country cooking), The Wicked Eye'd Woman (British Pub), and Roxie's diner for local spots. There's also the following out on 31W near the Mall: LongHorn, O'Charlies, Rafferty's, Cheddars, Red Lobster, Wing & Rings and BW3's. Enjoy!

Thanks for answering my question EtownCat much appreciated.

Thanks! Being undersized isn't always a bad thing. I remember back 2010 when Boyle County won the State Championship their biggest offensive lineman was Tyler Priest at 6'2 240lbs. He was the tallest and biggest. That whole team had heart.

This is an interesting game, Boyle has been playing great for a while, and E-Town seems to be playing better every game.

As usual, I will stick the adage that defense wins championships, which would give the edge to Boyle. However if Boyle fails to contain ETowns' running game, It could get interesting.

Ill take Boyle 38-24

And a USC signee in Lamar Dawson who also happened to be Mr. Football that year along with Navy signee Zach Hester and 25 or so seniors on a roster of almost 90 total kids.

Not exactly the "Little Engine That Could" :lol2:

You took a few words out of that post and turned it into that. Yes they had a few good players on that team but the players you mentioned were primarily defensive players. My original post eluded to the fact that they had an extremely undersized offensive line. They had a really great defense.

I'd be willing to make a case that on offense they were were in fact "Little Engine That Could". :lol2:

Both teams seem to be hitting stride. The thing that should scare Boyle County fans the most is that the game is at Elizabethtown.

Happy Thanksgiving BGPers! Safe travels to wherever you may be going.

One more day until kickoff.

Boyle county fans travel well.

I thought their line executed well. The Backfield did a good job with two very good backs and Dawson when they went to the bone.

Playing on the road is always a concern but this coaching staff has always had their teams ready to play on the road deep in the playoffs. 2001 Boyle beat an outstanding Hopkinsville team 28-21 at the Stadium of Champions. 2003 went to play all-american Joe Casey and Hunter Cantwell at Paducah Tilghman an won 35-21 when they was not only rated the best team in class 3A but the entire state of Kentucky. 2010 Boyle went to log mountain and came home with a 25-21 win. All of these where road semi-final games that Boyle won to advance on to the finals. The only loss was a heartbreaking 2008 loss to Bell County 15-17 when Boyle had 5 turnovers. My point is Boyle will be ready as ever Friday night and IMO playing at E-Town will not bother the team.

My only concern is the experience that this years senior Elizabethtown team has and the youth on Boyle's side. This is a big game and pressure will be felt by both sides. Boyle has in the past traveled but have been a little shocked at home lately. Boyle County needs to travel well for this game and make their presence known.
