plantmanky
USL is starting a third-tier league that will begin play in 2019. They announced that the first team will be located in... Statesboro, GA. Yeah, I’m as confused as you. Before the announcement there was big talk about cities like Lexington, Ashville, Dayton... I hope they’re gearing up for something a little more interesting than Statesboro. Maybe the Cincy team will move there. On sportstalk the other night people were complaining because the players on the team change to much and they cant get comfortable with who is on the team. plantmanky
The full schedule isn’t out yet and the rumor is that they’re still looking to possibly bring one more team in before this season starts. Some rumors it’s Miami FC of NASL. Super-rich owner who doesn’t really love MLS. Would be an interesting partnership. MLS is making an announcement in Miami next week, could they be jumping to MLS? Getslow
MLS is making an announcement in Miami next week, could they be jumping to MLS? The Miami MLS project is a completely different team from the NASL team. That project is a big reason why the guy who owns Miami FC hates MLS so much. They’re basically moving into his backyard and killing his team.

Such is life in second-tier American soccer. Want your players to stick around? Pay them more. USL players are paid next to nothing. Louisville has 16 returning players and a big reason is that they’re overspending to keep them around until the stadium is finished and they can try to make a profit.
