Guilty until proved innocent, or Innocent until proven guilty?

You aren't reading me correctly. Perhaps I didn't say it right. I'm saying if the perp is a person of authority (in any of those examples), they often use that power to convince the victim not to talk or that it is the victim's fault. I am certainly NOT off base in that comment.

I assume we both agree there is often a complex psychological matrix involved between perpetrators and victims of sexual assault but at the end of the day the victim is responsible for reporting any crimes to the authorities.

You certainly are way off base. This shows your line of thinking behind the scenes. Thats pretty clear.

As to the post you question me about, I have said time and time again that if he done this he should step down. I have also stated that this has to be proven. We just cant go around accusing people and expect without a fair trial or any evidence of wrong doing just to take someones word. Thats not how law works. To quote someone who has dealt with things such as this " this is a very slippery slope you describe" and one our country does not need to go down.

So now to you. Given the fact( and this is fact, we have pictures) what do you think Al Fraken should do? Lets see where you and others stand. Really stand. One person has already said its ok being he said he was sorry. So thats settled.

So, you are saying that your statements don't show a mind made up? Hmmm.

If if you think for a minute that I think that someone guilty of sexual harassment or assault shouldn't be held accountable, you are wrong.

And no, I am not off base. Those that commit these acts often use their power to convince victims not to come forward. But often they don't have to. They realize that people aren't going to believe them or that they have agendas.

Also what are your thoughts on the year book the lady says is evidence of her relationship with Judge Moore? The lawyer for Judge more issued some pretty strong challenges to this. Do you think they will hand over the year book to see if the writing is a forgery? And submit the ink samples to see when it was written? Do you also think this would lend more credence to this one ladies story? Just curious as to your take on that part of the story.

There is no smoking gun. There is the proof. Just saying your sorry, is that ok.

I guess his apology was good enough then.

a comedian, was quoted in a 1995 New York Magazine article discussing a skit for “Saturday Night Live” that involved drugging and raping CBS reporter Lesley Stahl. Franken, at the time a writer for “SNL,” suggested one skit should play out with “60 Minutes” commentator Andy Rooney finding an empty pill bottle on his desk.“'I give the pills to Leslie Stahl. Then when Leslie is passed out, I take her to the closet and rape her.' Or ‘That’s why you never see Lesley until February.' Or, ‘When she passes out. I put her in various positions and take pictures of her,’” Franken was quoted saying.

And he issued an apology.

Franken eventually apologized for his crude remarks, but he later wrote in his book, “Al Franken: Giant of the Senate,” that he faked the apology to get the necessary support for his election win

Did you not read my subsequent post that his apology was admission and strengthened the veracity of the allegation?

I did, it was not meant to prove you wrong, only adding to my statement.

Where is the photo?

Post 64, Maybe you will comment on it......

And on the flip side, I feel even more confident they are telling the truth because Mitch McConnell has heard them and believes them. Now...you think about that...I am agreeing with Mitch McConnell...there must be something to that. :F

You do know that Mitch absolutely HATES Moore and has for some time. Mitch would believe anyone who had a bad thing to say about Moore.

That being said, it is a cold day you know where when RM agrees with Mitch!!

I don't think that you should grab a woman's breasts or her vagina. What do you think about either of those?
