You have to beat somebody. Miss State is a good team and Florida is a really bad team. Maybe if Florida was good it would be something, but Florida is horrible. It's silly to think UK is a top 25 team. They could go 9-3 on the year and won't crack the top 25. Beat Georgia and you're in the top 25. But even if UK was 7-1 they'd be somewhere in the 20's.
November 1, 20178 yr I didn’t know if Notre Dame would be above Clemson or not but I think that they more than deserve to be. I believe that they got the top ten right and in right order. I look for change to happen in the rankings but they have it right based on what has happened so far.

November 1, 20178 yr Oklahoma wins out and Ohio State is in trouble is my big takeaway from these rankings. Oklahoma still has to play Oklahoma State, West Virginia and possibly TCU. If they win out they deserve to be in the top 4 IMO.

Are you saying you believe that, if Georgia and Bama are undefeated heading to the SEC Championship game, the loser misses the playoffs? No freaking way that happens. If they undefeated going to Atlanta, barring some crazy lopsided beatdown, you can pencil both teams into the 4-Team Playoff.

I'm also of the belief that Oklahoma or Notre Dame, one of them, won't make it the rest of the way unscathed, so I think this argument gets settled one way or the other before Atlanta. However, regardless, I believe with great confidence that an undefeated Bama and an undefeated Georgia, meeting in Atlanta, will send both teams to the playoffs minus a boat-race in the dome.
November 1, 20178 yr I still believe that Alabama should be at the 1 spot but I'm sure that the schedule played to this point was the factor in UGA passing them. Same way with Wisconson, Miami being unbeaten and down so low. Only ones I question are the 8, 9 and 10 spots order. IMO those should be maybe 8. Wisc., 9. Miami and 10. TCU. I also think that Ohio State is playing better than OK. at this point in the season but with the both teams having the same number of losses then head to head should matter, so I am fine with that. A good point to make is that this is the first week of the CFP rankings and all of these teams / spots will work themselves out on the field before time to name the final four.

If 2 out of 3 of these teams win out the SEC Champ loser is done, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, and Ohio State. You think they are putting the SEC Champ loser in over 1-loss conference champs Oklahoma and Ohio State? No way in hell that happens. I would bet every amount of money I own that it doesn't happen.

Now if you're thinking is that Oklahoma and Notre Dame both lose another game then I think you have a case, but I still think Penn State jumps the loser as well.

November 1, 20178 yr Author I actually agree with him. Ohio State last year is to thank for that. If anything Ohio State last year would be proof that they would be willing to put the loser in over 2 conference champs.
