November 1, 20178 yr I think the only way the SEC gets two in is if the loser of the SEC champ game is battling a one loss ND for the last spot. Any one loss conf champ will probably get in over the SEC loser. But ND won't have that 13th data point either because they can't win a conf champ. It still will be tough though because ND has a lot of meat on their schedule to boost their resume.

November 1, 20178 yr The committee changes every year. Only two members are off of last year's committee: Alvarez and Conde Rice. They have 3 new members, because one of their current members has major health issues. Rest of the committee (10 of them) are the same as last year.

I agree with this...I also think it depends who wins and who loses the Bama UGA game if they are both undefeated coming in... If Bama wins, I see UGA getting left out. If UGA beats Bama, I don't see the committee leaving a ticked off Alabama and Saban out of the playoffs...

The one thing ND has going for them without the title game, is the fact they do not play any FCS teams.

It would be tough to leave ND out of the playoffs if they run the table. That might be a big enough brand name and following to keep a one loss Bama out
