Boyle by a bunch.I don't know much about West Carter but if they study the Boyle - Mercer game and see the success that Mercer had early with the scramble and throw game plan they might adjust and keep it interesting for a quarter or so. That said Boyle wins 60 - 7

Boyle County will have their JV in the game in the 2nd half. Assuming West Carter is a run first team it won't bold well for them.

Any West Carter fans on BGP? If so, what kind of team is the Rebels facing? Interested to hear your take.

They have almost twice as many rushing yards as passing yards on the season.

I can't imagine them being anymore successful than what Mercer County was.

Pain and devastation

Correction. Quick and painless. Boyle will get the clock running ASAP!

I see a West Carter roster of 36 with only 3 Seniors.

Apparently Senior Peyton Brown never comes off the field.

Listed as a Running Back, Safety, Place Kicker, and Punter. My hat is already off to this guy.

Going into a game like this, you want to just keep focus on the big picture and that is trying to make your team even better. Boyle has gotten better each week, but you always have things to work on for future opponents even. Boyle will get to play a lot of kids in this game, but you still want to give your number one units enough snaps to stay sharp. At this time of year it is very important to have fresh legs, heal injuries and be somewhat rested going forward into the tough part of the playoffs. The Rebels will win this one by as much as they want it to be.

The only thing I know about West Carter is that they are west of East Carter. :sarcastic:

We have a young and small roster this year, a very sophomore dominated group when you look at who is on the field most of the time. 3 seniors and one has been out for the last 4 weeks or so. Peyton like many of our kids plays most of the game. But in our area, most teams are in the same boat, even with larger rosters than ours as far as kids playing most the game.

Nice! :)

Side note, but how about that Boyle County 8th Grade kicker??!?!?!

The next Taylor Begley?

For those that didn't see... he kicked a 51 yard Field Goal as an 8th Grader

He's really good. West Carter has had several really solid teams of late but this team is very young. I think they might have exceeded expectations this year. Look for them to be in contention for a home playoff game next year.
