For those that didn't see... he kicked a 51 yard Field Goal as an 8th Grader

 

Looked like he had some room to spare, too!

As good as Taylor was, this 8th grader at Boyle Middle, Jackson Smith is farther along now than Taylor was as a junior. Taylor progressed as a kicker each year he was in high school. This young man is already there with nearly perfect form and leg strength. He is also a very good football player as well as being a great kicker.

I word is that he has hit one from about 53 yards during warmup at one of the game this year. If you have not gotten to see him kick than you are missing something. It just amazing how well he kicks it not just with distance but the height on the ball also. This kid will be heard of before his Freshman year is even over (next year).
