October 20, 20178 yr Bob NightengaleVerified account @BNightengale 8m8 minutes ago The #Nats were on verge of giving Baker a 2 year extension this summer until word leaked out, but told him it would be done after year.
October 20, 20178 yr Hope he goes to Boston. I thought they were talking last night how Boston was leaning towards Joey Cora. :idunno:

October 20, 20178 yr Cubs were a mess when he was there but he had 90+ wins in his last three years with the Giants, his last two years with the Reds, and his two years with the Nats. Well over .500 career mark. He'll be picked up soon.
October 20, 20178 yr Hope he goes to Boston. Just what the Red Sox need someone who wastes the prime of a great roster by sending fledgling veterans who aren't performing out there day after day...
October 20, 20178 yr Hall of Fame Manager, without question. Certainly needs to be willing to adapt some of his post-season strategies and tactics, but the body of work, overall, is very impressive. I'd take him back in Cincinnati in the time it takes me to eat an inverted 4-way at Skyline. (spoiler alert: not long!)

October 20, 20178 yr Nope I mistook you for a Dusty fan. Apologies. Haha Far from it, but I do feel sorry for him.
October 21, 20178 yr Cubs were a mess when he was there but he had 90+ wins in his last three years with the Giants, his last two years with the Reds, and his two years with the Nats. Well over .500 career mark. He'll be picked up soon. Anybody can manage when they have loads of talent.
October 21, 20178 yr Everywhere he goes, he wins. Four different teams to the playoffs. Two different teams to the pennant. Lost a game 7 world series. As a player, he was probably better than 90% of players who became fullt time managers. Maybe #2 behind Frank Robinson.
